TEMPER
This project explores the junction between ceramics and metal using industrial pressing methods. It highlights the interaction between these two materials, challenging the conventional notion of ceramics as fragile. By pushing the boundaries of their relationship. I transform this synergy into innovative lighting fixtures.
The connection between the materials extends to a technological context, combining aluminum extrusion with 3D-printed ceramics, by a rough and rugged appearance with an emphasis on the truth of the material.
This floor fixture made of five terracotta forms that are pressure connected to a square aluminum profile, which rests on a terracotta leg for stability.
This piece was designed as a lighting fixture that can take center stage in a room, bringing a sense of dynamic elegance while creating a calm atmosphere.
This second object is a tabletop piece, have unique angle, designed to precisely illuminate the workspace desk. With a youthful, light design.
Process
The work process was captivating, exploring unique and creative ways to combine ceramic and metal. It involved a deep dive into the technique I developed and the distinct formal language that emerged, capturing sketches and countless experiments along the way.
